Service Type and Delivery

All services are completed via Telehealth, this can include but not limited to Zoom, Google Meets and Phone call. 

Rural Children's Therapy goal is to provide services to child in regional and remote locations where an Occupational Therapist may not be available in person or to children all over Australia who are on waiting lists.  

Rural Children's Therapy take clients who are NDIS self managed or plan managed as well as privately paying clients. 

Intensive Therapy on 1-3 Goals

Private Therapy Sessions

This involves the OT doing 2-3 sessions per week dedicated the desired goals. This model can be delivered via 1-on-1 sessions, parent coaching as well as session involving the parent and child.

Intensive therapy is completed over 1 term. If this model works for you and your child, you can do a second term of intensive therapy in a subsequent term. A maximum of 3 terms of intensive per year.  Depending on your child needs, goals and funding, you are able to do weekly or fortnightly general therapy throughout the year in addition to the intensive. 

 

 These sessions are shorter, typically between 30-45min.

Rural Children's therapy recommends most clients do at least 1 term of intensive therapy throughout the year. Rural Children's Therapy understands that every family and child have different therapy needs, therefore some child require support on a weekly/fortnightly bases throughout the year to achieve their NDIS goals.

Families that are wanting ongoing support throughout the entire year are able to have weekly or fortnightly appointments. Limited spaces are available for ongoing therapy.

These session can be between 30min-90minutes depending on the goals and families needs. 

Rural Children's Therapy is able to complete a range of Assessments and reports as requested by clients. 

All clients are required to have relevant  assessments completed before and after intensive or ongoing therapy.  

Rural Children's Therapy also offers assessments for child who are not currently looking for therapy services. 

Rural Children's Therapy are able to provide assessment and reports to NDIS and privately paying clients.

We also offer Functional Assessments for children aged 2-15 years old.

This is available for individuals who do not have NDIS funding. At present, Rural Children's therapy is unable to take private health funds payments. Rural Children's therapy believes everyone should have access to Occupational Therapy, even if they are not on the NDIS. A private session can go anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour. We understand that clients paying privately may not be able to afford regular appointments, therefore, we have flexible options for families in appointment frequency.

Pricing

Rural Children's therapy is not registered with the NDIA, therefore we can only take clients who are Self Managed or Plan Managed.

Rural Children's therapy also provides services to private paying clients. 

NDIS appointments

Why is the pricing more expensive for NDIS clients compared to privately paying client? The NDIS set the price for therapy that is charge to the NDIS. To make therapy more affordable for clients paying privately we have reduced the price.

Please note 15minutes will be added to all session for documentation.

NDIS Reports

This includes writing report, scoring assessments,  creating resources, writing supporting letters, contacting school or other health professionals regarding your child's therapy and/or progress ( when requested by the parent).

Paying Privately
